Thairand is a typeface that I am inspired by my own language which is Thai. After I was assigned to design a typeface. I chose the Thai alphabet and integrated with the Roman alphabet to represent who I am and where I come from. One of the challenging parts for this design was the approach that I utilized in order to combine the main characteristic of both the Thai and Roman alphabets. After comparing them side by side. I found the balance between those letters. I I deconstructed and re-created them as a display typeface with bold and italic style.
